Hi Everyone,

This is my first time making a gaming rig, so far I got these components looked up and suggested. Are there any components that are out of place or not fully utilized? They cost around $1300 USD in my country and I was aiming $1000. I'm not sure on what I could change.

CPU: [strike]LGA1150 Intel Core i7-4790 (Quad Core) Haswell Refresh ($314.11)[/strike]
&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp LGA1150 Intel Core i5-4690K (Quad Core) Haswell Refresh ($237.25)
Motherboard:[strike] LGA1150 Asus Z97 Maximus VII HERO ($269.55)[/strike]
&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp LGA1150 Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 5 ($178.22)
Video Card: Zotac GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 256Bit (ZT-90101-10P) ($344.18)
Power Supply: Corsair CS750M 750W 80+ Gold Modular Power Supply ($109.16)
Memory: Ram Gskill Ripjaws X 8GB 4gbx2 DDR3 1600 CL9 (F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL) ($82.20)
Cooler: Cooler Master Seidon 120V Hybrid ($49.01)
Storage: 1TB 7200rpm HDD (I didnt get the brand but I was offered at $59.03)
Casing: NZXT Source 210 ($45.67)

and a DVD RW for ($18.94)
Total: [strike]$1291.85[/strike] $1123.66

I wanted to keep Zotac GTX 970 Video Card for DirectX12 for Windows 10.

Edited: For CPU and Motherboard, any components got out of place?

Solution
Big one is the CPU, you don't need a i7 for gaming. Switch to a i5 4690K and save $100 with pretty much 0% decrease in performance for gaming.

Another is the PSU, Seasonic makes high quality psus for around $80, so you can save around 20 there.

That's a lot of money for a VII Hero. what country do you live in? Switch that mobo for either a gigabyte Z97 gaming 5 or an Asus Z97-A (i have it and it's a great gaming/home/enthusiast motherboard.

I live in Ph.

The cheapest i5-4690K (LGA1150 Intel Core i5-4690K up to 3.90GHz (Quad Core) Haswell Refresh) I found was at $237.25, I think I'll be going with this processor.

I couldn't find a Seasonic PSU cheaper than Corsair with 750W, cheapest Seasonic I found was at $111.39 (Seasonic M12II 750W Modular EVO WATTS)

LGA1150 Gigabyte GA-Z97-D3H is at $139.23 and LGA1150 Asus Z97-A at $188.24. May I know which is better?

Couldn't the i5 4690k overclock with a Z97 motherboard?
Or I would need an i7 4790k to fully utilize a Z97 motherboard ?(Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 5)

The i5 4690k would overclock with a Z97 motherboard, you just need any "K" cpu. So either the 4690k or 4790k your choice
