i have a switchable graphics dell inspiron 3537 laptop with an amd hd 8670m graphics card and when i try to install the drivers the error "install package failure" keeps showing, the driver for the card installs correctly as it's detected by the system and shows up on dxdiag and device manager but the software that is in the drivers package doesn't install (including catalyst control center),i have tried installing the latest drivers from amd and the latest drivers provided by dell for the device but they all give the same error,i also tried using display driver uninstaller and re installed the driver but the same thing kept happening.
i appreciate any help you can give

So it's not just the Catalyst package that won't install, NO installation routines will complete?

Run SFC/Scannow and allow it to make any repairs, then try again.

If that fails to find any issues, you may have an infection. Use the following guide to check for viruses, malware or root kits. You can download a free rootkit scanning utility from the malwarebytes website. This is entirely separate from the regular malwarebytes program and completely different in nature from viral infections.

If none of that is helpful, you may need to reinstall windows as there may be an OS...
What version of the Catalyst package are you trying to install? Try first going to the downloads page for the AMD Omega package and installing the chipset drivers. Click the greyed out optional tab next to the Catalyst drivers tab, then download and install the AMD chipset drivers. On some systems the Catalyst package won't install correctly if the correct chipset drivers are not first installed. Install the full package.

After reboot try again to install the catalyst drivers.

i tried what you said and the chipset drivers setup showed the same error(install package failure), i think there's something in my system that's making the software act like this since all setups including the ones provided by dell show the same errors

If none of that is helpful, you may need to reinstall windows as there may be an OS corruption that is not allowing the installation of applications. Be sure you're not trying to install 64bit applications on a 32bit OS. The reverse will work fine but 64 on 32 is a problem.
