When I boot up my PC I cant get pass the BIOS set up. It keeps going in a loop. I hear the single beep so Im guessing there is no H/W failure.
I was watching a film and I believe I may have pressed the sleep mode accidentally on my keyboard while I was watching a film. Not sure if this is relevant but it seemed to be the last thing I did before it crashed.
Checked SATA cable connections and all seem okay. Any suggestions?
Bear in mind I cant get pass the BIOS settings to check other options.

Hi Sparky, Go to this older post: Motherboard help and do a text search for "boot loop" which will bring you to a section about your issue. It will hopefully provide you with a solution. It refers to Gigabyte motherboards, but the guidance is universal.

Have you checked in your motherboard manual to find the BIOS jumper? If not do this first. It might just need the BIOS reset.

If still no luck, then disconnect your DVD rom and any additional HDDs, Just leave your OS HDD and mouse and keyboard connected, and remove all but one stick of memory. See if it boots.

If not, then swap the other memory stick in, and test each memory module in each slot. This will rule out a faulty memory module. Make sure you touch something metal before handling your memory modules, or you could fry them with electrostatic discharge.

Someone posted earlier that if I remove the battery I don`t have to jump the BIOS. That right?

So far Ive taken out the RAM and swapped them over in the channels. NO change. Still wont boot. Some one else mentioned a possible P/S failure...but the PC boots up. So what does that tell me now?
How about trying the HDD in my other PC? That might tell me something but kinda worried that if its corrupted/damaged it might affect my new PC. Thoughts?

Okay the latest is I have taken the HDD out of this problematic PC and placed it into my newer one and reformatted the drive and will see if takes W10. If that works then I plan to put it back into the older PC and try another reformat to determine weather the M/B is the culprit or not as I seem to have eliminated the P/S and RAM. Hope this makes sense to the people still on this thread.
