Hi, I believe after much testing that my motherboard had fried so I am looking to replace it. I want to upgrade the PSU too whilst I'm at it because it is a generic unit so I have little faith in it.

Budget Range: Anything up to 200 pounds for both the mobo and psu

Parts to Upgrade: mobo, psu.

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: taobao.com (chinese site - I am an expat in China)

Location: Beijing, China.

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: 1024x768

The set up I have at the moment is:

Case: Fractal Design Define R4 (not actually used yet, the PC died just as the case arrived in the post)
CPU: Intel i5-750S
Power: Generic 500w
Ram: 2 x 4 GB Crucial Ballistix DDR3 1600 and 2 x 2GB OCZ Obsidian 1600 DDR3
GPU: Radeon HD 5770 1GB
Motherboard: Gigabyte P55A-UD3R Rev 1.0
Storage: WD Caviar Green 2TB, WD Blue 1TB, Samsung 840 Evo 250GB

I have been looking around to see what would be a good replacement. I have found some cheap options for older versions such as the Asus P8Z77 Sabretooth that I can pick up over here for about fifty quid.
I was also looking at the recommendations on this page such as the ASRock Z97-Extreme6. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or recommendations that would work well with the kit I have at the moment.

I'm not sure on the PSU yet I am still looking around to see what should be suitable.

I use the computer for work on photo editing and graphic design as well as a general media centre.

Any suggestions or help is really appreciated.

Thanks
