I like to play games so recently I decided to get a new gtx 660 ti for my Gateway Dx4870. The first time I installed the 660ti the computer failed to even start. So I bought a new Psu with 600 v and tested it out again. This time the screen came up for about 10 seconds then the computer screen went black and my keyboards lights shut down. The CPU and GPU fans never shut off but I had to restart the computer in order to get power to the peripherals. I have removed and reseated the GPU and ram. I have cleared the cmos, turned off secure boot, and enabled csm.

Yes, once the bios is done booting Windows will start up, the log in screen will pop up, and then in 5-10 seconds the screen will freeze and the keyboard and mouse will shut off.

Hello... 1) Down load the OS driver for your NEW Video card.
2) Using the 560... Go into windows and un-install all your Nvidia drivers. Control Panel-programs and features. Exit Windows/Power down.
3) Install the 660 and boot into Windows Install your new Drivers.

Still nothing. Can't get past the log in screen with the 660.
