Yes, that is an IDE drive, and yes, you will have issues installing and using it. Unlikely your motherboard has an IDE port.

There are PCI - IDE adapter cards. Not all motherboards can use that to boot from. And I have had mixed results just using that for a secondary drive.

Even if/when you get it running, it will be sloooooow.
But hey...it was only 8 quid (for a reason).

Get a regular SATA 1TB drive, and save yourself the hassle.

Return it if you can. Its PATA, aka IDE. (the flat ribbon cables.) No modern boards have that connector anymore. They may be some sata to IDE dongle you can buy, but i'd just try to return it. If you can't there are still external ide case being sold, you can use it as an external storage drive in the worst case.

Sounds good. What power supply do you have. Thats on of the most important parts.
