Guys, im new on Tom´s Hardware , i´ve read lots of forums but i created an account because i need help from experienced people.
I am very close to buy a laptop, i was about to buy a Sager Np 9377 with and Gtx 980M or a Sager Np 8278-S with Gtx 980M as well, both with an I7 4710MQ ( 4 cores and 8 threads )

But now i´ve seen that sager is selling 2 new models with desktop processors on it, the i7 4790. But its like 500 dollars less than the other model. So why is this cheaper if it has a desktop processor on it?

I want this laptop because of my studies, video editing, 3d modelling and stuff. So i wanted to know if its better for me to get the one with the mobile processor or the desktop processors?
The sagers with the 4710MQ are very robust laptops wich gives me more confidence and make me thing is a more reliable machine than the new models wich are thinner than the other ones, heat is one of my biggest concerns.

please help me decide.

I went to sager website and what i saw was in fact laptops with desktop i7 BUT they come with a GTX 970 and NOT a gtx 980 like the np 9377 , also they do not have an SSD . The ones that come with desktop i7 and GTX 980 are all more expensive than the Np 9377
