I left enough room on the budget for the peripherals. I had to copy this build from an older post since pcpartpicker.com is down indefinitely.

So basically you want to spend 1200 dollars on your PC? Or 1000? Either way, I would recommend the i5 4690k, the GTX 970, some G.Skill 16 GB RAM. I would post a full build but partpicker is currently down so I can not. Either way, a good ATX Z87 gaming motherboard (if I am wrong then someone more knowledgeable correct me please) and a decent PSU should complete your build. Overclocking the CPU is a must so also get some sort of a cooler, for example the Arctic Freezer A30. Finally, the case is completely your choice, but make sure to pick one with good air flow. If you want help with picking a mouse and a keyboard I could suggest the Razer Naga or the Deathadder, as for a keyboard depending on what you really want you have a pretty wide choice. The Razer Black Widow has some pretty nice fame, but the Razer Deathstalker seems really nice to type on (never seen one personally though).

P.S. If you can't get the GTX 970 then I'd advise you to go for the Radeon R9 280X - it's still a brilliant video card and it's also cheaper.
