Odd grinding noise coming from inside new gaming laptop?

So I just got a new Asus ROG G551JM. It runs flawlessly and everything, but there's this constant, not too loud but definitely still noticeable grinding. It's definitely not the usual loud clicking or beeping of a failing hard drive, it almost sounds like a fan brushing against a cable, but it seems to be coming from the hard drive. Is this normal? Are some drives just louder than others? It also seems to get quieter when I'm gaming, but it's always there, even when idle.
Also, I do NOT want to open it up. It's still under warranty. I'd just like to know if this will be a problem down the road or if it's normal to hear some noise.

I found this video, and it's the exact same thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nx0zwZwL6nw

Well good thing is at least you are not the only one having this problem from watching the video. I would just call ASUS and ask them if this is normal for their laptops. If not see if you can have it checked from them since it should be on a warranty deal.

Sorry I couldnt be of more help to you on this.

Good Luck!

A grinding noise huh? I guess it could be a possible wire got loose and hit rubbing against the fan. I recently purchased a fan and the actual bearing inside of it made an annoying ass grinding sound. The fan worked but was not a fan of the constant noise it made. Since it is new you could probably call the tech support for the ASUS laptop and ask what they recommend doing?

I don't think it's the fan. The fan works like it should and so does the laptop, everything works flawlessly. It's coming from the HD it seems and none of the failing HD sounds that i researched matched the ones in that video.
