Dual slot GPU + Water cooling = Single Slot?

Excluding the mounting bracket, does water cooling a dual slot card such as the GTX 770, GTX 780, or GTX970) into a single slot card?

Background: I am building in a 2" server case with an MATX mother board. I can accept a Dual Slot mounting bracket with a bit of dremeling, but I cannot deal with a dual slot card body.

Does watercooling give me a single slot solution for a card better than a GTX750ti?

Probably not / maybe.

Watercooling blocks are fairly large, to make it a "single" slot size you'll have to do a lot of measureing to make sure you get the right size for a custom waterblock.

Even then, you'll need to be able to cool your liquid in the radiator efficiently, which will be hard with the limited airflow of server-rack case

Thanks, James,

I feared it would be a try it and see if it fits problem. Radiator cooling will be no problem since I am building a custom loop with a Swiftech Apogee LP, a Swiftech 655 pwm pump, and a Phobya Extreme 200x200 radiator with fans in push/pull. Pump, radiator, fans and reservoir will all be external to the case in a cooling tower.

Maybe someone who has water cooling on a dual slot card could do some measuring for me?

If you get a fullcover card it should be single slot size, even a universal block is going to be very low profile
