msi gtx980 works like crap

Hey everybody.
This is driving me crazy. I got a msi gtx980 4gb twin frozr and it doesnt perform like it should. I'm getting constant framedrops and the gpu usage is spiking like crazy. I don't know if it's something in my ri g thats bottlenecking the card. Let me give you my specs.
Z87-g45 motherboard
16gb corsair vengeance ram 2400mhz
Samsung 250gb ssd
1 tb black caviar hdd
i7 4771 (is this any good for the card ?)
Corsair h75 Cooling
144hz 27inch benq
Please tell me my system isn't the problem?
Im New at this pc gaming and i don't know what to do. You guys know more then me about this stuff so Please help me out.

Are you running anything else on the PC that might interfere? Have you tried just for a benchmark to do a minimum selective boot, only loading the very needed stuff, and running some benchmark 3D test like Unigine Heaven 4.0 (full screen, all settings max) and run a GPU load monitor with logging like MSI Afterburner and see if it's still very uneven?

Got the newest drivers, got everything installed and i quess its in the right slot. got 3 and stuck it in the top one.

In benchmarks the gpu load is constant at 99%, only in games it is not. huge fps drops also.

thats what i did, running benchmarks it is flawless. tombraider and bf4 i played in full screen and windowed mode, no difference. its weird because havent had any problems with gtx 770.
i use gpu tweak to log, maybe this isnt a good program. but it shows me the core clock en memory clock and afterburner don't. i clocked it a little. stable in benchmarks. with everything in default i got the same problem.

Yep i did uninstall it completely. Even did a fresh os install. Only installed some games and the Newest drivers. It is still working like sh*&t. Somethings very wrong with this.
But im not the only one with this problem. On the GeForce forum Lots of people have issues with the gpu usage. Strange thing. When i play a New map in bf4 giants of karelia. The gpu usage seems highe. BeTween 88 and 99% but in for example nashra strike its spiking like crazy. Something i read was that it has something to do with the gpu boost and voltages. Any body know something about this ?
