I have an ASUS M5A99FX Pro R2.0 Motherboard and I'm trying to install Windows 7 on a RAID 0 with 2 Samsung 850 EVO SSDs. I have set up the RAID in the BIOS and it says it is functioning. When I get to the point in Windows where you have to install the RAID driver, I do that (with the latest and brand new drivers on ASUS website) and nothing... the drive never shows up. I messed with it for a week and got desperate and bought 2 Intel SSDs thinking it could be the drives. Same result. Contacted ASUS and they finally decided I had a bad motherboard so I got a new motherboard... same result. Am I missing something?? Anyone else had this issue?

Solution
AMD SB950 controller :
5 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), are gray colored ports not the navy blue ones.

I'm not sure what you are doing by "set up the RAID in the BIOS and it says it is functioning". You only should be enabling the SATA Controller to [RAID], that's all.
RAID driver on ASUS website

You need to unzip the file. When adding drivers to Windows 7 installation, direct the installer to the folder that corresponds to the operating system. The installer will ask you to confirm that you are installing the AHCI compatible RAID driver.
