Hi just built a new PC and had my first experience with a SSD which is great. However, I am wondering if it's normal that my internet connection would lag behind? I have got a wired connection and once Windows (8.1) loads in less than 20 seconds, I still have to wait around 2 minutes to get connected to the internet.

Is there a way to be connected to the internet immediately as windows boots up?

Hope you guys can help, thanks!

I had a similar problem, is your NIC (Network interface controller) by intel?
I had this problem when my network was being run at 10/100 speeds instead of 10/100/1000 .
Did tons of research and found the only way to really fix it was to be on a 10/100/1000 network. The only thing that was limiting my network to 10/100 was a cable, so I replaced it and it fixed my problem. Others wrote a batch file that loads on startup that resets the internet connection.
