Yeah, the i5 4440 is a quad core with strong per core performance and the GTX 780 is a beast of a card and probably more than you need, somebody will probably suggest something better and more budget priented but I couldn't really look around because PCPartPicker is really slow right now.

Thanks again, ant. I'm probably going to save my money to purchase the components to make that pc. You're awesome. I may have some trouble putting it together, but with the amount of tutorials I've seen on youtube, I should be able to, I suppose.

Also, one more thing - will any of those parts/prices of those components change within 2 years, y'think?

Glad to help :) I probably wouldn't built that exact build, it was just an example of what you can get with that budget, you probably don't need a H97 motherboard or a GTX 780 (a 280, 280X, GTX 770 or the upcoming GTX 960 would probably be awesome for you), I would probably get a better case too and you could probably add an SSD. I was the same as you when I built my first ever PC :p but most components and connections will only fit in one way so you can't really go wrong.

In 2 years, those components probably won't even be available for retail :p

If you can go slightly over, get an ASUS H97 board and a better case such as the Corsair 230t or Fractal Design Define R5.

This is higher quality overall than the build above with a lesser GPU (it has a bettr case, motherboard, and a better PSU for the price but both are great. this is if you want an overall good system. This can run the games you told me you'd like to play just fine. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/rTK2YJ

However if you can swap the board , case, and PSU from the build posted earlier, your build will be amazing for the price.
