Looking for suggestions for RAM speed

I know it's been asked a million times, and there are a million different opinions. I'll be using this RAM to game with (2 x's 8gb), and I would like to go with the Ripjaw series by G.Skill. What speed do I need? I read how I should avoid the 1333/1600, so what speed should I get instead? Also, I'm not overclocking.

go 16 gb max with anymore than that is a waste of money 4790 nice cpu but as far as speed 1600 at cl 9-9-9-24 is fine your choice on brand. just make sure your rams height isnt going to butt heads with your heat sink clearance. meanig gaming ram with taller heatspreaders

another thing to consider is also timing. latency of 9-9-9-24 1600mhz is fine for gaming an you wont see any major fps gains by higher mhz without sacrifice timing speeds an then theres the price difference to consider especially with no overclocking hope it helps

Just saw your computer specs. Looking to do about the same with the Maximus VII Hero and i7 4790k.

Good set, might also look at the Snipers, both carry some OC headroom, good strong sticks ;)

Keeping an eye on that. Looked on the Noctua site and saw that the Ripjaws are compatible with the CPU fan!

yah lower latency is better the faster the access time. oh an for the alcohol 91% an up is the best 1.59 walmart. yah my version since i have a cold a little more vodka for me than the comp we are about to get a blizzard here in new england
