by the end of this month i will be getting this gpu for my low end pc build, i know there will be a huge bottleneck but i want to know how severe it will be, and i will upgrade my whole system this year piece by piece because am a little broke right now. can i get away with it just by playing gpu intensive games? or i don't know really.... right now i'm relying with the igpu of my A6 when it comes to gaming and it's awful because i don't have a discrete gpu, will i get a performance upgrade, higher fps and a smoother gameplay if i get this gpu combined with my apu? i need help, please!

Solution
Yes, you will have a significant boost in your FPS, BUT it will largely bottleneck as what you are expecting. You cannot play in Ultra settings as what your GPU capable of.

but i only have the money for the gtx 970, should i upgrade my whole rig then? and start everything from scratch?

Dual graphics only works with AMD graphics cards, in your case it would be the HD 6670 but the gtx 970 is more than 3x more powerful than that card.

Don't use dual graphics, it's for budget builds. Not for high end gaming systems.

As for your whole rig, idk. What are your specs?

If you have old specs then yes a new system from scratch will be better.

But if they all are pretty new like the case, psu and RAM then you just need to upgrade the CPU and motherboard.
