Hey guys, this might be a silly question but here goes:

I've essentially replaced everything on my current rig (mid-range gaming, 2 to 2.5 years old) and I'm wondering if I should go ahead and replace my PSU as well. The one I've got now has worked just fine for me so far, but I've also read that the quality of this particular model has been known to be on the iffy side and I don't know if I should risk keeping it, especially with the warranty expiring in a few months or so.

Here's the old build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/MJVkcf

And the new build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/JDMwpg

I've never overclocked anything here, nor do I plan to anytime soon. Additionally, I'd probably be going with this as a replacement PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151119

Thanks for reading.

The CX series are okay if your on a budget. And it's fine for your current power needs. I understand your query, as these units components are usually built to last at least until the warranty ends. Of course you may find it goes on much longer, if you have maintained it well.

If you just want peace of mind or your budget allows it now. Then sure, treat yourself to something better quality. And keep the CX as a spare PSU. The Seasonic G-series is good, good choice. Here is a tier list to help you separate the wheat from the chaff in case you look at other options.
