hi iam from india my current rig:-i3 3210,8gb ram 1333,ati radeon hd 6770
500 watt psu(iball sphinter 500),resolution=1366X768
motherboard:-gigabyte ga-b75-d3h
i want to upgrade to gtx 970 and i7 3770k can my motherboard support it and what is the diffrence between i7 3rd gen and 4th gen i want to run all games in ultra

Solution
The GTX 970 can handle at least 1920x1080 at ultra settings in most games. Maybe a GTX 770 or even 760 is enough for 1366X768. The problem is they have higher power requirements and as I said your PSU doesn't seem good.

The motherboard supports any graphics card. I doubt the quality of the PSU. It could cause problems. I would get a Seasonic or a Corsair or a high quality Cooler Master. i7 3770K is not much slower than a 4th generation i7.
