GTX 680 4GB SLI. How long will it be good for gaming?

Some games may give you a slight delay upon release for decent SLI performance as you may already know, but you'll be good for a while.

are you planning to buy 2 680s or do you already have them? if you are planning to but them, don't do that, there are better options for similar prices.

For at least until 2016, you should be good with a GTX 680 SLI setup. However, many new releases are poorly optimized, and a lot of them have issues when you run a SLI setup. With 1080p, you SHOULD be fine, but if I were you, I'd just buy a single very good GPU such as a GTX 980 or perhaps a GTX 970 if you're not willing to spend TOO much. But this is if you haven't bought the 2 680 GPUs yet. If you have, you should be good, for like a year or 2
