Hi im new to pc gaming and i have got a pc for around 800dollars and i have a MSI radeon R9 280 3gb and fx6300 and 8gb of ram, at what resolution can i play battlefield 4? Im a bit confused thanks for help.

Solution
Depends on how fast game developers will push the limit in graphical settings in their games. If you looking for ultra settings 60fps then no that card won't get you that for two years. But it probably will be fine with ultra settings above 30fps for most upcoming games for a year or two.
With the cpu, depending on how well DirectX 12 is implemented, you might find the FX 6300 at stock speed a bit weak for some games.
8GB ram should still be fine for now.

You should be more than fine for a year or two with the R280...it's a really good video card and has plenty of memory for gaming at 1920 x 1080 which is full HD. Don't let anyone tell you that you need something faster than a R280 right now or a GPU with DX12...there will always be something faster the day after you spend your money...that's the nature of computer gaming. In my opinion people put too much emphasis on having the absolute fastest gear, when in a lot of cases, what they have is plenty good for the average gamer. Your system may not be the very best hardware available, but it's more than solid enough for some excellent gaming. The only area you may want to improve in a year or two is your CPU...the FX6300 could become a limiting factor in very demanding CPU bound games, but more likely is that as time goes by more games will start taking advantage of all of the cores the FX6300 offers so it may be all you need for a couple of years. The R280 should not be a concern for you...enjoy your gaming rig.

all GCN cards will have support for DX12

and i have a 7950 vapor-x running 1300/1900 OC i have never had a single game by any decent DEV that i couldn't max-out without a problem

everything runs silky smooth 60FPS for me for example last light runs at ultra without AA far cry 4 ultra without AA BF hard line beta 60 fps 2X AA or 60FPS 140% in the res slider no dips what so ever every game ran 55FPS MINI and 60 fps with v-sync

if anything the FX will limit ur GPU b4 ur GPU bottlenecks

with a strong OC on the FX that card will last a year at ultra and until 2016 im sure AMD next architecture will be out
