I just overclocked my I7 930 with an asus p6t motherboard. on my cpu-z it says the speed of the ram is 575mhz. Since my ram is ddr3 triple channel i would just times that 575 by three and get 1725? which would be a slight overclock from my defult 1600 mhz? thanks

Even if it's triple channel? I was thinking you times that by three. But if you double it that would work. I'll see how stable it is. Will I just get a blue screen if it ain't stable?

Yes mate - only double it - it doesn't matter if its ddr 1,2 or 3,single ,dual, triple or quad - double it regardless.

& yes you'll get random bsod or other strange behaviour if its unstable.
The fact it boots is a good sign though ;)

Do a standard blend test with prime - if it completes the run then I'd say you're a-ok

This screenshot is correct. The memory is DDR3 1600. It runs in dual channel mode. So 800 or thereabouts is correct. BUT, you really should either run 4 or 8 gigabyte total via matched pairs. 6 gigabytes is a fail. The Row Refresh Cycle timing of 88 seems really strange.

If you know what your memory timings are you can manually set the timings in the advanced bios options. The "SPD" tab will give you the timings you should be using.
