Heres my computer spec:

AMD Athlon (tm) II X2 250 processor 3.00GHz
8.00 GB RAM
500GB HDD
305W power supply
Current graphics AMD 760G (shockingly bad)

the computer case is quite large and i do have a PCIX16 slot.

Im looking into upgrading my graphics card to be able to play games such as WoW and possibly the CPU and power supply at a later date.

Im a bit overwhelmed with all the different variations in cards so if you could give me any pointers as to which cards would be powerful enough for games like WoW yet work with my 305W power supply i'd really appreciate it. Also, does it matter which brand the graphics card is? My motherboard is Gigabyte but could i go with something else?

Thanks in advance!

Solution
Definitely the GTX 750 Ti if you don't want to upgrade the power supply, since it doesn't require any external power. I would also recommend upgrading the CPU to a quad core in order to run games at it's full potential. Dual cores are just not good anymore for gaming, specially AMD processors.

Thanks for the reply, can't believe how quick it was!

Do you know of any other decent cards around the £50 mark? This is my first attempt at upgrading my computer so if something goes wrong i don't like the idea of blowing £100+ lol. Thanks again.

Do you think something like this would get me going? Or is it just crap?

http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/components-upgrades/graphics-cards/graphics-cards/evga-1-gb-nvidia-geforce-gt-610-pcie-graphics-card-21429258-pdt.html

or this? EVGA Nvidia GeForce GT 720 1GB Graphics Card. only requires 300W

how hard is it to change a power supply? Is it something that shouldnt be attempted by a newbie?

Thanks again.
