I want to build a pc that can play 1080p games at 60fps high settings. also able to use softwares like editing etc. Currently I play Dota 2 but im thinking of branching out to other games like Skyrim, GTA V, BF4 and more that require powerful pc. Thanks in advance.
PS: i have this recommended build but i do not know if its good enough. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/rombom4/saved/87DhP6
or even this
http://pcpartpicker.com/user/OblivionXBA/saved/2n4J7P

I made myself an own build with pc partpicker. its over this budget of course but if i work long enough, i might be able to build this
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/RainbowLuka/saved/#savedbuild_1913580
Any Thoughts are appreciated :D

Solution
if the xeon puts you too far over budget, here is a simple i5 build that is equally as powerful for gaming and only 20-30% slower(worst case scenerio) than the xeon for non gaming highly threaded app performance.

I would get an Intel Core i5 processor instead because the games you listed are pretty demanding on the CPU, and from personal experience I can tell you that the FX 8320 doesn't perform that well except in BF4. For editing, adding more RAM will be beneficial. You could probably go with an Intel Xeon 1231 V3 (4 cores, 8 threads) processor and an R9 290/X. It will be perform just as good as a GTX 970 in 1080p in some games. 12-16GB DDR3 RAM are recommended for photo editing.

yeah that skyrim will even hit the i5 hard

Admirable
This would be a good build for your budget. I just picked a case I know to be spacious and well made but picking a case for someone else is tricky so go with what you like! This will happily do ultra on any games at 1080p 60fps

if you notice my coments in the article i linked i spent a little time figuring this out

the fx 8-core will be a little better at pure editing but a i5 win to double as gaming and editing with the ability to upgrade to a i7 for more serious editing

Double the performance in gaming? In some CPU intensive games, yes. In newly released titles that support 8 cores, both processors are neck and neck.

Wow many answers, i don't know which one is the best tho... does an intel i5 quad core overpower an amd fx 8320? i would just prefer any that has a lower price since my budget has been reduced... because of a 1080p monitor :( and a software

4c8t xeon over the fx anyday...

the ram is faster, the power supply is much better, and the xeon will murder the fx 8 core.

That's $884 for a $800 budget, and the budget is even lower now.

thats a pretty nice build i must say. However, i can probs up the intel i5 to an i5-4690 or even an i7-4790k. Went to a couple of nearby computer shops. They kept telling me to get an i7 for a long run (4-5 years) instead of a i5. Fyi, i'm a newbie in computer. Just decided to build a custom pc cause its cheaper

well either you wan the i5 build for $800 or you want the xeon build for $80 more. if you go 4690k for $50 more you will still need a z97 mobo which adds $20 and you will need a $30 hyper 212 evo cooler at least so it will cost more than the xeon build. the 4790k+gtx970 it will be right under $1000 total.

when you say editing what do you mean? the hyper threads from the xeon or i7 can help with that. but for gaming, the simple i5 will do fine. dont get the 4690 non k, its too pricey compared to the 4590, and its only a 0.1ghz difference. the xeon would be the best if your not interested in overclocking.

The Xeon is only about 10% the price of the i5. Just get a decent Z87/Z97 motherboard and an i5 4460 processor which will perform just as good as any other i5 in gaming, and you will be able to upgrade to anything in the future.

yeah, im not interested in overclocking yet. By editing, its not really that heavy, just simple editing. and some photoshop. I sometimes like to record videos and stream.

the superclocked evga is just a factory overclocked version of the acx 2.0. they both are exactly the same otherwise. the evga models seem to run about 2-3c higher than the rest of the cards due to the evga team being half lazy about the acx cooler for the 970. the gigabyte windforce is very popular. the msi twin frozr is the best overall. the asus strix is nice too. to be honest they are all nice cards, pick the cheapest one from the big 4 board partners. normally i would recommend evga, but if your going to overclock a little, you might want to get the gigabyte windforce. the msi twin frozr is consistanly overclocking a little better than the others if you want to reach the peak on air.
