I have a Alienware m18x LAPTOP:
Intel I7-2920XM 2.50 GHz CPU
Nvidia Geforce GTX 560m GPU
32 GB ram
Windows 7 64-bit
I had some graphics card driver issues (crashing), so I decided to uninstall and reinstall. I used DDU to remove the drivers and then I tried reinstalling them from Nvidia's website. Everything went smooth until I rebooted. After the windows loading screen my screen stayed black. My screen will only work in windows in safe mode. So I think it's something with the drivers.
I've tried reinstalling the drivers many times, but it just wont work. I noticed that when I installed Nvidia drivers in safe mode, I could see that my monitor was missing from device manager. Only when I uninstall drivers again my monitor will show up saying: "Standard non pnp monitor".
I have not tried uninstalling windows 7 yet and that will be my last resort.
