Overclocking components is a crapshoot. You never know what your individual components will be able to do compared to your friend who has the exact same components but can OC 500Mhz more than you. Go Slow like Durgesh is saying. You say you're a first time over clocker, but you know how to over clock? I've been over clocking since I found the jumpers on my motherboard of 50, 55, and 60Mhz in my 1st Pentium system and I still don't know absolutely everything about over clocking. But with everything in life, the more you do, the more you learn. The more you FAIL the faster you learn. ;0) Take it slow, and record all your results. Get to your absolute max stable settings, and then back off a little bit. Just give yourself that little bit of headroom for when the weather is nicer in your area and your ambient room temperatures rise.
