im getting between 5-8mbs with my brand new N600 Wireless Dual Band PCI Express Adapter . I was getting 25mbs on my 2.4ghz adapter so why am i getting so low on my 5ghz wireless adapter ?

Painfully slow speeds with the new adapter. How many bars of strength do you have with the new adapter? Depending on how far away you are, the 5 GHz may be slower for you, and you may have to look into configuring so it only goes on the 2.4 GHz network.
