AMD FX-6300 vs. Intel Core i3 4150.

Which CPU is better. Intel core i3 4150 or AMD FX6300. I want the processor mainly for newer games like GTA5, Farcry 4, Assassin's creed: Unity, etc. By the way, my GPU is ZOTAC NVIDIA gtx 750ti.

out of those two i belive the amd chip is better , but the intel i5's blow the amd chips out the water . so if you can get an i5 get it if not i think you will have to go with an amd chip

Well if you have the money maybe save up for a low end i5.

I am not sure about CPU sockets and all that, but Intel processors generally have a better upgrade pathway, so if you consider upgrading in the future, I would take the Intel one regardless of any small differences between the FX 6300 and the i3 4150. Although, yes, the FX 6300 slightly outperforms the i3.

Blowing the FX chips out of the water is a bit extreme Yes I own A I5 4690K myself.. Yes the I5 is a tad faster but not extreme..

OK I can see that you wanted to compare the i5 to a higher grade FX processor and forgot to post the second link. Anyway, the i5 should be much better for overclocking (less heat/energy consumption) and provides a better upgrade path.

amd has 6 cores but very weak and slow intel has 2 very strong cores and hyperthreading making it better than the fx and it runs cooler and has better upgrade path. if you look for gaming then its intel due to strong cores which gaming needs

Yeah, better go with the i3 now and then eventually upgrade to an i5 (I wouldn't get i7 as it offers little performance boost over the i5s for a far too high price).

Definitely the i3 4150. It will be much better than the fx 6300 in many games, especially with the gpu your going with.
fx 6300 and gtx 750ti is a bad choice. An i3 will take you much further any day. The "adjusted settings" for gta 5 say that you only need a dual core so you'll be good. The Fx 6300 compares more to the 3rd gen i3 3220 and lower.

dont expect a miracle from a duel core though since the intel core 2 quad (beast) is the minimum specification for gta v

agreed but intel core 2 quad is very old and that is the reccomended (good couple years old) , so i dont know needs some reasearch
