Hello,
I recently did a fresh install of windows 7 ultimate 64-bit after installing a new hyperx fury 240gb ssd. Since then my pc has taken to randomly rebooting whilst running certain games, dota 2 causing the most common reboots. I can run other games fine, civ5, civ:be etc. I am not getting any sort of bsod and the pc just restarts asking wether to boot in safe mode. I looked around online for similar situations and the majority of them point towards psu issues or bios firmware problems. What should be my first steps towards identifying the main problem?

PC spec:
CPU: AMD Phenom X6 1090T
RAM: 4GB
GPU: Nvidia Geforce 640GT 4gb
SSD: Hyperx fury 240gb
HD: Samasung 1TB
Mobo: Asus M5A97 Pro

I've been having the same issue and it looks like it was the PSU. Some of the PSU voltages were very low (10.3 instead of 12 and 3.5 instead of 5 volts).

With your PC on and the case open, measure the voltages of the yellow and red wires of a spare molex connector using the black wires as negative/ground. You'll need a multimeter set to the appropriate voltage (in my case 20 V). This could prove inconclusive because it's possible the voltages sag more under strain from the GPU but it could also be very informative. I wish I'd done this sooner with my PC.

It's looking like it's actually the psu failing, its an alpine 600w, they're not known for their endurance. Going to order a new corsair or something a bit more reliable!
