Mouse and keyboard freeze randomly with the following error The instruction at 0X774ed062 referenced memory at 0X00000004. The memory could not be written. The only way to clear it is to do a hard shutdown and restart.

That link is for windows XP. I am running 8.1 but thanks any other ideas?

Windows 8.1.

When the mouse and keyboard freeze the CPU continues to operate. (Example) If I'm doing a download the download continues to run so I wait till it's finished then do a hard shutdown.
