I have a question about my 970 FTW. So while gaming my temps get up to about 70 to 73 degrees Celsius. I was wondering if these temps are ok and if my graphics card its running hot. Typically the temps get like this when gaming with ultra settings on battlefield 4. Also what is the max temps i should worry about with my GTX 970 FTW?

Those temperatures are not normal. I have the GTX 970 FTW and it idles at 40C with the fans off. Playing Bioshock Infinite at MAX settings only causes a 10 degree jump to 50C. Adjusting your fan curve might help. Mine is set to 0%@40C ~ 100%@65C
Hope this helped!

A well ventilated case is good to keep temps down. My computer case has positive air pressure with 4 120mm fans in and 2 120mm fans out. Case temps never rise above 5C room temperature :-D

Those temps are ok. Yes you should only worry when in the 90+ range but my 970 FTW never goes over 65-67 in STRESS TESTS (Heaven 4.0, 3DMark Firestrike 1080p). Gaming its about 50-55. Also I run a custom fan curve that it idles at 25% about 1100 Rpms and that keeps it about 30-32 idle and its 30% at 50, 40% at 60, 60% at 70, 75% at 80 and 100% at 90. Use Evga PrecisionX if you want a custom fan curve, still runs quieter then my 4 200mm and 2 120mm fans.
