Does it improve your computer?, Does it improve your gaming?, What does it really do?, Im a bit confused on what it does...

Right now i have only a 1.5gb and seems alright to me and yes i have a Samsung 840 Evo and not getting the full speeds so iv ordered a new mobo so i do get the speeds it gives me and what will this improve?.

Thanks

Windows has been "tailored" to the specific hardware and BIOS and everything that your current motherboard has. When you swap the motherboard, Windows gets confused and most of the time will not boot or will BSOD. The most surefire way to prevent that is to re-install Windows when you swap the motherboard. You will find methods here and online that give techniques to avoid the reinstall. I personally don't recommend that approach.
