So Im building a gaming pc, and ill be honest.... I am a huge sucker for looks. Although my build only has an 860k with an r9 280 which i havent bought yet I want it to look very beautiful through my case side window. So I need a good looking and also not outrageously priced 8gb ram kit (preferably blue or black), and a cpu fan cooler in the 30-$50 range. to be honest, in the bottlenecking way my build looks Im not too concerned about performance anyways as I am used to playing at around 1000x700 on low at like 10-20 fps and being thankful for it.
here is my build at the moment:

things that I cant change are the motherboard cpu, and case, everything else can be changed

Gskill Ares, Adata XPG V2. You have a lot of variety as the cheapest DDR3 8Gb is $70 so 70-80 is prob the cheapest ur going to find right now. If you dont mind buying used check ebay or the forums here in the deals section, I've purchased Gskill sniper 1866 for $55, and corsair vengeance 1866 for $60 both 8gb kits from forums

For a cooler look at the Zalman CNPS 9900 Max-b, black nickel plated, with a blue led fan, worked great for my oc'd X6 and 8320. or if u can find one a xigmatek Dark knight II or Enermax ETS T40-BK or EVGA ACX

*Most ram is good, as long as the chips are from a good OEM then it could be a no name company and be good ram as a well known branded kit at stock speeds
