Okay so I have a hp computer the model is h8-1234. I want to upgrade my graphics card which is currently a NVIDIA GeForce GT 630. I was hoping to upgrade it to a Geforce gtx 750 ti 2gb but i'm not sure if my motherboard can handle it. My motherboard is Angelica2

I used pc part picker to try and guess how much electricity your system uses with the 750ti. It should still be under 260w.
You should be ok. http://au.pcpartpicker.com/b/CjgLrH

My recommendation for a graphics card that will benefit you is still the nvidia 750 ti.

You don't have to buy a new power supply right away, just make sure you set aside money for a new one as the power supply will be the first part in your system to fail you.

Your motherboard has 1 PCI-E x16 lane, the 750ti uses it, so you're good there. One issue I can see would be your PSU. It's a 300w PSU, and the requirements for the GPU is 300w. I'll just let that be known, I wouldn't expect issues, but just something to think about if you plan to upgrade in the future.

The HP support site does a terrible job of explaining it, but it is a PCIe 2 x16 slot.

That is perfect for the graphics card you want to get.
There is nowhere near enough power on the 750ti to max out the bandwidth of PCIe 2 so it will slot in great.

Good point MADVIU. You should still use less than 300w in your entire system with the 750ti, with your new graphics card only using up a maximum of 40w more power. However that power supply might let you down over time.

I highly recommend you set aside some money for a new better power supply as well.
You might not need it straight away, but I have a strong suspicion that you will need it within the next couple of years.
Even though the power supply in your system should be fine for the 750ti right now, it will slowly wear with use and one day down the track, a few years if you are lucky, it will just no longer be able to supply the power you need.
