I used Farstone Drive Clone II to migrate Windows 7 and rest of data from my original Sata HDD, to new SSD. Migration worked. Plugged SSD into Sata receptical 1 and old HDD into receptical 2. Both drives show in BIOS. Boot from SSD works and all data is there. Third party identifier sees both. Disk Manager sees both and has info for both. Both are active. SSD is now C drive and HDD is E drive. SSD is listed in device manager, HDD is not. Start button to computer shows both drives. HDD does not appear as a drive for windows 7. Cannot find it to store stuff or pull data, etc. Could use a little help.

I have not because both drives are partitioned, have drive letter assignments and are active. Not sure what I'd gain by doing those. But I'm willing to learn.

OK went thru the Utube and treated as a new drive. Named and format, etc. Nothing changed. It did empty that partition of that drive but still unable to send anything to it. Do i need to empty (or try to) the other partition of that drive?

The SSD boots up ok without the HDD hooked up. Tested that out as soon as the migration was done.

Ive done that. No files there when i do so, however the Disk Manager says there is something there (75GB which was on before the migration).

I must not have stated my situation clearly. The HDD was OK but the Windows 7 right click on a doc or folder resulted in a Sendto drop down without any HDD (or SSD) to send to. Made me think i had a more serious problem. Found a program that got me into the right place, added the HDD as an address for the Sendto and all works good. Thanks to all for the effort and help. All knowledge and info i see is good. I appreciate the help.
