Good 1300-1400 Dollar Build?

Solution
Get the i5 4690k, the H100i cooling system (for overclocking) and maybe a 750W PSU EVGA/Corsair certified just to be safe and leave room for upgrades if nothing else.

What is your purpose for the build? Do you want to overclock?

If you plan on gaming, there's little need to get an i7. Not many games use more than four cores. I also don't think it's necessary for an H100i on a first build. It's an expensive cooler and really not needed.

Okay, so how much fps do you think it will run BF4 1080p, Bioshock Infinite 1080p and Minecraft at? My nephew sometimes plays Minecraft on my old computer sometimes and probably going to be at my new one too.

I couldn't find an exact test on that, but I managed to find a video and it appeared to not drop below 80 FPS. It should run Bioshock Infinite to the same level of performance. As to Minecraft, unless you are using mods you will get about 800+ FPS, maybe more (unfortunately I don't think any monitor in the world is capable of displaying that many frames though).

So here's the problem. By not building the PC yourself, you're going to spend what appears to be about $150 more and still have some lower quality parts. For example, the CX series is actually a cheaper quality.

All you would need to do is some reading or videos on how to put a PC together.

FPS on what games? Generally, the i7 beats the i5 with like 5 frames, maybe less. Quite an insignificant difference. However if it's for example a game like Crysis 3 with supported multithreading it's a different story.

P.S. Also FPS on what resolution and at what settings.
