The power connector iin #2 is very important and often over looked. The power connectors, if not fully seated can also create problems.

What version do you have on the bios? You need a minimum of v1006 (this was a beta version - 1201 was the stable release) to support the processor - And they are currently on V2501.
If you have an older AMD processor, can you give that a try? You would be able to update the BIOS with the older processor. I have that exact mobo and and FX-8320, and I had to update the BIOS prior to utilizing the processor.
If you don't have access to another processor, most computer stores (not BEST BUY) will be able to flash the BIOS for $25 - $50.

I don't think so....The only place I have seen the sticker is on the mobo, and the only two other places you can get it is when you have an operational computer - during BIOS setup it tells you in the screen, and there are utilities to tell you the version of the BIOS. But the only way with a non-operational mobo is to look at the mobo.

There should be something that says, "BIOS Version XXXX" on the sticker. It should be on top of the BIOS chip.
