I was wondering if this pc build could run games like... Arma 3, DayZ, LoL, BF4, and TF2. I would like for them to run on at least medium settings.

Solution
an i3 will have a little trouble with Arma 3 and BF4, both of which can bet CPU intensive on larger maps with more stuff happening on the screen.

Other than that, you're good to go. honestly you can probably do high settings on most games

Alright what kind of FPS do you think I would see in Arma 3 and BF4 with the i3 I new that would be pushing the CPU. Would they still be playable if i adjusted the settings?

well, assuming you use Mantle, Tom's have run their own benchmarks, and I think these are a good reference:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-mantle-performance-benchmark,3860-7.html

judging bu the results from a mere R9 270, I think it's save to say that you can set things up to ultra and still get above 30FPS. the main thing I was concerned about is occasional spikes down in the middle of a large map (which aren't really tested in these types of benchmarks).

at the end of the day, I think you'll see a few more split-second spikes down to 20s or even 10s during the really intense moments, perhaps a bit more often than people with i5s or i7s. but other than that you should be fine. the 280X is still a beastly card, I had one (well, a 7970) until very recently when I got my gtx 970

Ok thank you so much. I am relatively new to building PC's. I was going to buy an alienware Alpha for 550 but decided I could get much more performance if I built my own for about the same price.
