I have a wired connection with an RJ45 connector at the end which plugs in directly into my motherboard's LAN port. To connect to internet I click on network ---> click on my connection ---> click on connect ---> type my username and password provided by my ISP ---> connect to the Internet.
I am telling all of this because I don't know which type of connection is that.
When I am connected directly P2P caching is enabled. I can stream youtube videos, download something from websites like Microsoft, Apple, etc. at very high speeds.
However, when I connect through a router, P2P caching doesn't seem to work. I bought my router around 8 months ago but this thing was never an issue. P2P caching was working even when I connected through a router. But since the last few days I am having this issue.
Even now If I connect directly, P2P caching is working but it stops as soon as I connect through my router.
My router is TP-LINK TL-WR740N
Please help me if there is anyway to get P2P caching working again.
