hey everyone tomorrow my dad will go and order 2mbps at telkom for a good cost. I don't really know much about uncapped internet and stuff but i will play on my pc(i5-47670, GTX 770 OC, 2 x 4GB vengeance ram) bf4 and day-z most of the time and maybe play fifa 15 now and then so how fast is this internet, i will also do some downloads now and then not like more then 30 GB a month i guess. this is what they say on the package :

You will receive:

A home line rental.
A downstream line sync speed of minimum 256kbps and maximum 2 Mbps.
An upstream line sync speed of minimum 64kbps and maximum 128kbps.

i was also thinking of uploading youtube videos now and then and later start with my own channel there. so will my ping be good and will i be able to not get lagging in the games? also with that speed how long will it take to download like 10 GB if i keep my pc on through nights as well? the internet deal is with Telkom

Solution
I don't think it will be fast enough for uploading videos. But playing the game, I have a feeling it will be good enough.

I have a 200 MBPS speed here in Singapore and it is blazing fast. Lowest has been 150 MBPS xD

Online gaming doesn't use much. It's just sending and receiving simple position data and stuff like that, your computer does the rest.

I think I monitored an online gaming session of BF3 once and it used like 13 - 17KBps, which is way less than your minimum/max speeds (half as much as your minimum of 256kbps).

Uploading just depends on how patient you are, I would suggest rendering at low quality bitrates because 128kbps upload is very slow.
