Heat sink install Cooler master

MSIx x99s sli plus ,Hyper 212 evo stand offs are short the x looking thing that holds the heatsink to the mothorbord is to small yet on the cooler master site is say is works with my mothorbord also on PC pickers???

This install video might help. If I'm not mistaken the lga 2011v3 doesn't have standard through holes, it has threaded holes at the corners and may not need the backplate. If I were to guess you probably screw the standoffs into those, slide the "X" shaped mount through the heatpipes so it crosses the top of the cooler base with the ears down at the ends of the "X" and screw into the standoffs that way. You can't screw them all the way in right off, just a few turns so they grab. Then tighten them up evenly, otherwise if you screw one or two most of the way in it will cock the bracket so far you'll never get the other mount screws in.
