Hey everyone so I have a microsoft arc keyboard that I am currently rocking.... I am finishing my computer build shortly just waiting on the last pieces to arrive.

I have been interested in a back lit keyboard for some time and also mechanical.... I can't say i am too crazy about red or blue.... even though my case is gonna have a red and black theme on the inside i am gonna put some white led's sometime later.....

I am looking at the Cooler Master Quickfire Ultimate keyboard which has a beautiful white glow that can be customized a bit..

Are there any other keyboards with a nice white background as well?

I was also looking at Corsair's K70 but that one is either red or blue.... the brown's would give a nice white glow background but it's damn near impossible to find from what I have been looking at.....

and their RGB? Model is like 160+ which can be customized in terms of all the LED's

any other recommendations would be awesome.

I have a Cooler Master XT no backlit, it's a great quality keyboard with filco internals and cherry blue switches. So the Ultimate will probably be good quality. For a lil more money, the k70 rgb is great too. Otherwise I hear people like Ducky keyboards alot if you're willing to spend a lot more.

Oh definitely not! lol that keyboard..... I was taught if i dont have anything nice to say then dont say anything at all lmao, but damn yea i dont like that one...

I am more of a minimalist, I dont dig big keyboards, thats why the K70 and the Ultimate they are clean, not too many features, the only thing i want is mechanical and possibly a white backlighting, i could care less about how many colors or if the keyboard comes with a screen or 10k buttons for multipurpose anything but then again i know others love those styles so not hating just have my own style.

I think the K70 RGB which is like 160? would be the highest i would go..... after that would be too much for me to accept paying for a keyboard :p but still looking

White backlighting would be annoying. Blue is too subdued. Red is easiest to read. Just get a K70 non RGB - brown switches - tactile but not noisy.

Indeed i was looking into this very thing :) I digged the K70 with Brown switches (white led's) but seemingly hard to find :( dont know why.... I mean i have time.... so maybe they'll have more on the market when im ready to get it which would be like in a few weeks perhaps? I dont know how often they replenish the market with more inventory

Gotta be careful.... i know they have a Cherry brown's that have red led's too.... Not that I am 100% against the red but i just think white would be so much better imo :p

Does anyone here have a red backlit keyboard? Is it weird on the eyes? too powerful? I know the blues i wouldn't like for damn sure.... red just seems like a pretty strong color to have on the keyboard which is why i thought white would be perfect you can make it a nice subtle toned down version and it would look sick

Which Cherry keys are 2nd to the brown's? Like i know browns are the least in the noise makers but next would be the blues or reds? I know blacks exist but not asking because it's not available in the products im looking at.

Also one important thing, i saw a video not that long ago about a O Ring modification that seems to have reduced the noise level of the feedback dramatically! can this be done to the K70 as well?
