Copy O.E.M. Windows 7 from HDD to SSD

so i have just ordered a Kingston HyperxFury 120gb SSD and I would like to copy windows 7 pro (OEM version) from my HDD to my SSD is this possible?

at the moment i have about 300gb of content on the HDD which is more then the space of the SSD

i do still have the disk for the windows 7 copy aswell as the installation codes

And that may or may not work on a non-Dell PC.
And if it does, it may become unactivated.

That license key is probably from some defunct company, or from an off-lease PC.
If you read the fine print in that ebay sale...you are actually buying the (broken) hardware. They just don't send it to you.

basically i saw it was cheap on ebay 1st hand they had hundreds from all these oem pc's that were basically obsolete but i think it is a dell branded OEM copy from what i remember

well i build my pc all my self nothing dell about it other than the OS but i will give a install a go, if it dont work i will buy a new copy of windows or something

Sure can. You can reinstall it on the same computer with whatever hard drive you prefer, ssd, etc. . Just can't change the motherboard.

Doesn't have to be Dell either. I have installed many Dell OEM Win 7 discs on a multitude of computers with no issues.
