Hello Everybody,

I put my first pc build together a couple of days ago but its not posting. All my fans are getting enough power to run them. However, the system never displays an image on the monitor or anything. All I have been able to get so far is a black screen. Haven't even reached BIOS.

I have rebuilt it a couple more times with friends that have experience in building pc's and we still weren't able to make it work.
I have tried both RAM sticks, and single stick in different configurations, with and without the video card. I have also tried HDMI/VGA outputs off both the mobo and GPU.

This is my set up:
CPU: Intel i5 - 4690k
CPU Cooler: CM Hyper Evo 212
MOBO: Asus Z87-A ATX
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws (2x4GB)
Storage: Sandisk 128GB SSD / 1TB Seagate Barracude HHD
GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 750Ti
PSU: EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze

I am guessing the mobo is bad because I don't see any other reason to why it wouldn't work. Any help and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I have read through and tried the troubleshooting thread and still no luck.

Thanks

How do I get to the BIOS with just the mobo and cpu installed? I still get nothing on the screen. I tried to tap delete when I start the system but still nothing

it should. Hassassin, consider before spending money going to a repair shop. They have a lot of hardware lying around and will be able to help you without actually having to buy every single part to test. There's a guy in another post that bought 1 by 1 new mobo, new hdd, new psu... don't do that.

Like I mentioned in my first post, I have already gone through it, but unfortunately didn't help.

Have you tried your video card on another working motherboard to see if its working? or have you tried booting your motherboard on a working video card? If it powered on and all you can see is a black screen usually the problem lies on the video card or the motherboard

i just wanna make sure you read that one,no problem then.

I am trying to run it without a video card for now, but with a video card I get the same thing.
