My Netgear WNR2000v2 cuts out for ~10 seconds every 30 minutes. I already tried a factory reset and it keeps doing it. I am a PC gamer so this is very annoying as I get regularly disconnected from any server I am on. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I can provide more details if needed.

Thanks for the response, but I am not sure how to set the DHCP lease. I tried looking it up online but couldn't find an answer.

Yeah, I don't see any option in my quick search of the users manual.

To test my theory .. you can do the following:
start a cmd window -- Start->search->cmd -- click on cmd.exe
type ipconfig /all in the cmd window
Look at the lines "Lease Obtained" and "Lease Expires" -- How much time is between those two dates?

I do see other people complaining about similar behavior with your router. You should verify that you have the latest firmware loaded. It looks like 1.2.0.6_36.0.58 is the latest firmware.

1 year exactly. I'll check to see if the latest firmware is in use.

I just checked and my firmware is very outdated. However when I check for a new update it says there is none and returns me to the main webpage.

You were spot on. Motorola modem had DHCP set to 3600 seconds. WTF! This is a residential modem not a hotspot. Anywho I logged into the router/modem at 192.168.0.1 and used admin and motorola for the login and set the lease time in DHCP to 691200 for a good 8 day lease time so it should cut out every 4 days then which is more reasonable. I attempted to set a reservation however the FW is buggy and it keeps rejecting it. It also is not showing the leases that are there.

When I see a DHCP reservation problem, I will keep that in mind. Never thought about the modem having such a short DHCP lease.
