Hello,
I recently built my own computer about a month ago and have been having a huge problem ever since. My computer would freeze when ever I would start a game like TF2. The game seems to work fine in the menu but it starts to freeze immediately when I go in game. This problem seems to happen with all games. The computer will also stop responding every once in a while when I am on the web browser, making the everything else go unresponsive as well. My web browser is Google Chrome.
Specs:
Cpu:Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core
motherboard: Asus B85M-E/CSM Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
RAM: Team Elite Plus 8GB DDR3-1600
Storage: PNY Optima 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive and Western Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
GPU: Powercolor Radeon R9 290 4GB PCS+
Power Supply: Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX
OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit
I made sure the drivers were installed and I checked to see that the temperatures for the cpu and gpu remain at around 40-50C.
Thank you,
