My Luxor 1080p LCD tv struggles to fit a 1080p VGA output resolution on screen, it overlaps off of the edge. Is there a way I can shrink the image to fit the screen or something?

You should be able to do that with both the tv settings and the graphic card settings. What card are you using?

Sorry I dont have a nvidia card in my pc right now so I'm not sure exactly what it looks like from memory, but if you open up the nvidia control panel you should see a display tab, click that, then something that says adjust desktop size and position, and click re-size my desktop. or something to that effect.

Since VGA is an analog signal. It usually provides a less than optimal picture at high resolution. If you have the capability to use a digital connection, HDMI, DVI or display port, you will get much better results.

I have gone to the nvidia control panel, set the res to 1080p, half of the screen is still off to the right

It's not the resolution, did you do as I suggested and re-size it? it should give you sliders.

Ah yes, that option allows me to move the screen, but the left is fitted perfectly already, so if I moved it left the left would be off screen...

There should be a scaling option. Also as someone else said do you not have the option to use HDMI? it would probably fix the problem as VGA is old and not the best option for high res.

There is an electro magnetic interference issue with my HDMI cable.... Trying to get VGA to work. Them options don't don't help.

Run to radioshack or walmart and buy a new hdmi cable, they're only like 8 bucks.

Ok, I managed to get it to fit the screen, now it's a tad blury any ideas?

You REALLY need to figure out the problem with HDMI. The double conversion between digital and analog is the reason that picture isn't very sharp. Your picture will be suboptimal, IMO, until you have a digital connection. Additionally, if you want to display HDCP protected content (BluRay) it will only display a lower resolution because of the analog link in the display chain.
