so i needed to reinstall windows because of this problem thinking it was my boot drive that was causing it. but now i see that if i only use my ssd everything is fine, but when i turn off my pc and add my harddrive it doesnt show up in my bios and my ssd is still above in the load order. so i start windows and it wont go further then the windows 8 logo and the spinny thing which turns forever.
please help, i dont get any errors so i dont know what to do.

Hi there stantriespcbuilding,

Was the HDD attached when you were reinstalling Windows on your SSD?
You can attach the HDD externally via SATA to USB cable(or enclosure) and test it with a brand specific testing software. The results will show you whether the drive is healthy. Reformatting will not hurt as well(just back up your data first).
Also, you can go to BIOS and see whether the HDD is in the boot order. If it is, you should remove it from there.
