Hi I really need some help. I have tried everything that I can find in the forums.

Here's whats up. I basically am doing a new build. I have been running windows 7 on a 3-4 year old Dell.
I have a gigabyte Nvidia gtx 970 OC GPU.
A couple of weeks ago I added a Samsung 850 500 GB SSD and was able to clone it just fine. I also added a 1T Seagate HD. So up to this point all is fine.

now I am building a new box using the above hardware.
Motherboard: gigabyte GA-Z97-UD3H-BK, i5-4690k CPU, 16 GB of Crucial Ballistic 1600 CL8 Ram.

When I boot the system I get one beep and the system posts with no problems. I then see the windows screen and as soon as I see the first 2 dots of the windows logo I get the blue screen of death. It flashes so fast that I had to record it on my phone in order to read it. And that was no easy task.

It is giving my an error stop: 0x0000007B. From what I can find it is a boot disk error (duh) i have reset the bios and tried different setting (ide,
The bios utility recognizes all of the hardware connected when it is connected.

I have been troubleshooting with the graphics card removed and all fans except the hfs disconnected..

I did the breadboard thing and instead of getting long beeps with just the cpu and hfs I got several rapid short beeps ( maybe 6 or 7). I could not find out what that meant.

Additionally this happens with both of my old drives - the one I cloned and the one I cloned from. Both will boot when hooked up to the old motherboard.

I only have a windows 7 upgrade disk, my other disks are the Dell oem disks which I don't think I will be able to use.

According to the gigabyte manual the drivers for the Sata drives should be there. I can't boot to load them manually.
I don't know where to go from here other then throw the thing out the window

I would prefer not to have to buy a new operating system if I don't have to. Plus I was hoping fI would not have to reinstall all of my programs

Thanks thanks thanks for any advice

If you are trying to boot to a Win installation that was installed using a different MB, that is your problem. Win is trying to find the components that used to be on the old board when it was originally installed. You almost always have to do a clean install of Win when you change motherboards.

By researching this because iv ordered a new motherboard you need to do a fresh install of Windows because your old motherboard driver will be installed on your hard drive with Windows so Windows will try find them and say to itsself, Whats going on? then panic and will not boot up, Only blackscreen so have you got a usb stick with 4GB or even better 8GB usb?, Its very easy doing this, If you need help doing this, Ill link you to everything on what you need or if you have a windows disc than just put it in and press F11 on mobo and press enter on disk drive and it should load up.
