Well this is my first post and i'm quite new on this forum. I bought a new machine few days ago and it worked fine 1st day.On the second day i started noticing artifacts all over the screen and i thought i installed wrong drivers so i uninstalled old ones and downloaded latest drivers from AMD site which are omega (14.12) for my windows 7 64bit OS.Well that didn't work too,i was still getting them.I also tried installing older versions of drivers.I didn't know what that was until i spent few hours on web searching for an answer.People were saying that the problem was with BIOS so i flashed it and updated it but it didn't work.Next thing i did was to lower my gpu clock from 1020 (how i got it) to 1000 :D because people were saying that that should fix the problem but it didn't. I had it enough for that day and just waited for the morning. In the morning i started to do more researching about what's causing this problem and i found that they said it's because of overheating so i increased my fan speed to 60% and was hoping that it will fix the problem but the problem was still occurring. I felt desperate, i mean i just got a new pc after 8 years of old one and after 3 years of saving money (i'm 15 by the way, and my parents don't have really big salary), so i reinstalled windows and every single driver. But the problem is still there.Artifacts are showing mostly when i play games and after i exit the game there are whole bunch of dots over the screen, and the only solution for that is restart, and sometimes my screen freezes completely and only way out is force shutdown.I'm getting this error "amd driver has stopped working and successfully recovered" pretty often. And i am pretty sure the problem is with gpu or something related to it because in safe mode i dont experience these issues. These are my PC specs:
- Intel core i5-4460 3.2Ghz
- RAM 8.00GB
- Radeon R9 280X MSI GAMING 3G GDDR5/384bit
- Power 600W not sure what's the name of it

Please reply ASAP, and tell me if i should have said more.

Did the card come with the computer or did you get it separately? I just recently got the 280X and it installed without any problems but after a few days I started getting lines on my screen and it would crash. After a week, I just simply returned the card for an exchange on Newegg. So far, I haven't had any real issues with the replacement.

I have same card as your and i also expirence these annoying artifats, i also tried decreasing Core Clock but no success. the only thing that realy helps me is turning VSync ON in my games. it removes the squares artifacts, but the high lines still alive

- anyway.. good luck
