I think it looks okay, but I always want to get a 2nd 3rd and 4th opinon on the matter. Thanks everyone!

For gaming, 8Gb of memory and an i5 processor is enough. The CPU you have selected is fast, but you do not get enough for your money unless you also overclock. I would use this PSU http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220g20850xr and save some money.

Without overclocking you will be getting nothing out of your RAM, go with CAS 8 DDR3-1600. Without overclocking, I would also save a few bucks on the motherboard. WiFi/Bluetooth is cheap and worthy of consideration.

Generally good, just a little over-built. (But it's your money to spend)

Build looks good, but if you're not going to be over-clocking, save some money by getting a non-k CPU. Unless you will be doing a lot of photo or video editing, drop down to an i5 CPU and save even more money. You can also save some cash by going with a less powerful PSU. If he won't be over-clocking or running dual GPUs, a lower wattage PSU will be just fine.

My suggestions are as follows:

i7 if he will be doing a lot of photo / video editing and this CPU would be just fine http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116987

i5 if he will only be gaming and this CPU would rock http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116989

If he won't be over-clocking or running dual GPUs, here is the one I'd recommend to save a little cash, although not much http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151121 I own this PSU and highly recommend it unless he needs more power

The money saved could go towards a bigger SSD, or he could stock up on underwear and socks with all the saved cash! :p

Remember to look for combo deals to save even more cash on the items you are interested in.
